Whats the problem with coil springs? Coils offer a better ride, better handling, and less noise and weight over the leafs.. I don't think .0005% of SD owners plow snow so if thats all you loose whats the big deal?

What is wrong with Coils and Plows? A Spring is a Spring is a Spring.. If the rate is high enough who cares if its coils or leafs? I'm not a Big plow guy being from Southern California but I do know that spring rate is spring rate. It dosnt matter if its Leaf, Coil or Torsion bar. Is there something on a snow plow system that dosnt like coils?

Yes, this does solve the plow issue. This package makes the spring rate very stiff. Sure your ride will be stiffer, frankly I want my ride to be stiff.

Also, there is a seperate "Plow Package" available.

So basically, I dont see any ill effects of what ford did to the 2005 superduty. Hopefully the exterior changes are good looking.

6.0Diesel, from my understanding the strongest front end to get in 04 was the snow plow package (6000 lbs rating) and that was not available for some or all diesels. the heavy service suspension (5200 lbs or 5600 lbs)is nothing new and the rating was less than the snow plow package.

Other interesting tid bits:

on page 5 it shows 3.73, 4.10 and 4.30 gears available for the V10. That's a first. Could be a typeO. The 275/70Rx18 tires are 33 +" in diameter. (I imagine replacement costs are now double of what 16" tires costs ) There is now a "premium bodyside and lower accent" two tone option. Secondary glove box with autotransmissions. 4 ton hydraulic jack instead of the 2 ton screw jack.

Jeff, if you had to guess, what color is "Dark Stone"? I'm hoping it's a metalic brown of some sort.

Yep. That would be my guess. Only available with the tan interior, so it must be a brown color, not a grey color.

Probably a couple/few weeks before Job1 in mid-July. So mid-late June.

you can always 'build your Ford' online at the ford.com site. I found they update the prices/features available fairly often.

For example -- the King Ranch I bought in December isn't available exactly the same as it was in December and it's a 2004.

Do you think that the grill can be bolted onto a 2002? I like the look.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned them changing to 18 inch wheels; Is BFG or anyone making good mud tires in that size? If not, I bet they will be soon!
