What the hell kind of a store are you running there??? No blowers? Do I understand correct that any 8-71 blower will work for my engine as long as I have a 460 intake? I see a lot advertised as being GMC, blah blah. It looks like they'd all work if you have the proper intake.
I was a little concerned about that too but from the looks of it the unit will sit inside your wheel itself, not hand out behind it. I've got about 4" backspacing on my new wheels which will keep those things completely out of harm's way but I think you could go down to 2" or whatever you want and not have to worry about it because they're tucked into the wheel. I love how it automatically adjusts . . . hate it when there's mud in your rim and you shake like crazy when you hit the pavement again.
Smartire is awesome. That's what all cars are going to in the next few years (well maybe not that brand but a similar setup. http://www.smartire.com/fl/ They're on ebay for $150 or so. Yes, I'm an idiot when it comes to gadgets. I am wearing a watch that tells me the weather, the news, and the stocks. I can look outside, I don't give a rip, and I am too broke after all this to own any stocks.

I've that Equal powder as well,I won't use it again.Seem's like everytime you stop you get a different balance in your tires sometimes there smooth sometimes not.
I'm no supercharger expert Ivan, but yea, thats my understanding as well. You just need the proper intake. I'll be awaiting your report on those centramatics. I've heard good stuff from the few guys on Pirate that run them and it sure wouldn't break my heart to be done with the Equal.
I called Centramatic and talked to their tech guy to get more info. He told me that for our tires (part #300-038) they are only really effective at balancing 33" tires and less. I mentioned my 42" Swampers and he laughed and said "this may sound funny, but I'd advise you to keep your money". He said that that 6 oz of effective dampening medium that the centramatics have for our tires just don't work for the big off road tires.
Sons a bizatches! Go figure . . . I guess it's back to bb's. It seems odd to me that they don't make a balancer with a larger outer ring, able to hold more weight and handle a bigger tire. Well you just saved me $200. Thanks Pro.
They do, but their only in the hummer or semi size/pattern. Not for our normal truck size/patterns. Although you'd think it would be easy enough to do. Good...I was hoping you'd catch this before you ordered them. I mean, whats the point if they will only handle up to a 33" tire!? Does anybody really have problems balancing a 33" tire?
Sounds like we need a lot of people to hound them about it so they'll make one. I think there would be a large demand for it with all the people running big tires and having poor luck with equal.
Yea, thats their primary market. However, the units for the semis have bigger rings, different bolt patterns, and better dampening. The units for OUR wheels are much smaller and apparently don't do much if you have a larger tire. It seems their primary market is the big rigs, followed by the military, and lastly the sporte ute rigs. Apparently, they aren't really interested in the off-road market due to the "abuse" those rigs sustain and how difficult the typical big mud tire is to balance. The tech there was refreshingly honest and forthcoming.
Does anybody really have problems balancing a 33" tire?

Right now I have 33's on my rig and the damn weights keep getting sheared off, in the rear. Considering that I have rotors in rear and I have told the guys several times about that when they keep trying to balance them. But do they really listen anyways? Now a year later without those weiaghts and no problems.
