7.3 Engine Transplant
I have a 1989 Ford F-350 crewcab dually with the 7.3 with a 5-Speed manual trans. I just purchased a 1997 F350 Super Duty with a Powerstroke, Auto trans. I want to put the powerstroke in in the 89'. what kind of problems will encounter?? I know most of the confusion will be in the computer and electrical. has anyone done this before?? are there any wiring diagrams out there that will help me out??

I am getting ready to do a swap from gas to diesel also. as far as putting in the powerstroke I think your going to have a wiring nightmare. all the swaps that I have seen have been with the older motors that have no electronics
