Ok I have a 351C that I thought about building awhile back but other things got in my way, but Ill be ready for it soon. The block has been checked and cleaned just needs to be bored. I have a set of 2bbl heads that has been completly redone that is with it. So here goes. How much hp can I make with the 2bbl heads and with 4bbl heads and anythings goes. Anyone want to give me their best shot at this. Would like to do this NA but a superchager isnt out of the question. The end result is sumthing streetable {barely} I know I have about two main options, low compression and a SC or just high compression all motor, and ofcourse since octane sucks now a days high compression may be out of the question. Anyways post away , teach me somethign here,
Would you do me a favor? Measure the space between the cylinders in the water jacket? I'd like to compare that to my Oz Clevo to guestimate the cylinder wall thickness.
7/64 or .109". My Oz block is about .090" in the widest spot.
The bores are .485" apart.
Your block's walls might be as thick as .188" but probably a bit less. Mine are no more than .197" thick.
I've heard that Cleveland blocks cannot be bored more than .030 but it sounds like that may be an overstatement.
I plan on converting my engine to roller cam and installing a stroker crank. I want a street engine so I'll be making sure that it has quench (Oz heads) and an iron intake.
