idle air control valve

my truck was idleing up and dowh then would stall,so i cleaned the idle air control valve.a little better then i replaced it well when i started the truck the idle stayed 3000rpm and wouldn't move. what do ya think

it sounds like it is stuck open to me i never had this problem but i haave read alot on it just my 2 cents also try a bootle of sea foam it works great

People have mixed results with just cleaning the IAC. Sometimes it works and other times you gotta buy a new one.

It sounds like a vacuum leak. Double check all vacuum hoses and ensure they're connected and all caps are in place. From what I read you have already replaced the IAC so that is ruled out. Biggest cause of all high idle probs is a vacuum line but occasionally a TPS is at fault.
