Well i just bought a 1993 F-150 long bed 4x4 with a plow, i got a couple questions:
1. My hood latch wont catch, the truck has been parked for since november 02 and when we tried to open the hood to jump it it wouldnt unlatch but with some force it finaly opened, but now only the saftle latch cathces.
2. The tranny cooler line is busted , when i replace it does it need to be bled or anything?
thanks
Dave
your latch problem is most likely due to incorrect adjustment. there should be two bolts that hold the latch assembly in place. Just loosen them and try to find the correct height that allows the hood to close properly.
I'm not sure about the tranny coolant line, but i would say just wait for the motor to cool and you won't have a problem except for a lot of fluid leaking out.
Check to make sure that the hood release handle is pushed back in all the way, sometimes they hang-up,lube the latch assy
after you repair the tranny line you dont need to bleed it,just make sure your tranny is full.
