1987’ F150 5.0 w/ dual tanks.
Asume that both low pessure pumps are operable.
Both of the low pressure fuel pumps are not running while the high pressure pump operates normally. Does the inertia switch kill power to the high pressure pump as well ? Does the in-tank pumps rely on a ground through the mounting straps? The truck ran a month ago, but has been sitting most of the time for the past year. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I traced good juice to the pump (front tank), in doing so I moved a lot of wires around and must have accidentally gotten a good ground. I believe that the tanks share a common ground wire and I have had the problem of grounding on this old truck before.
