Go to Ebay, and check out how many 2004 F-150 trucks are for sale. Most have little miles and lots of mods. Seems like people are giving in to the problems? There are about twenty trucks for sale now. Two months ago they could'nt be found. Not a good sign in my opinion.
I am not going to give up on mine that easy but I am wondering what problems I will have now since they tore my Tranny apart for nothing???? I hope they find out what's wrong and fix it right. I know things happen but when the Tech's do NOT have a clue and just guess what may be wrong - well that bothers me!! Hopefully it's the rear-end!
I don't need a number of sellers on Ebay to tell me what kind of truck I have. I own one! It's an amazing truck and I love it! You won't be seeing mine on Ebay! Well, maybe in 15 years or so...

Some people can't make payments, some have to go to a different vehicle. I doubt all of them are bad trucks. For instance I might trade in my XLT for a Lariat. And my XLT kicks ***!!! Whoever buys it is going to get a great truck.
keep in mind that a lot of the vehicles on ebay are the actual dealers.
I understand that and have viewed them all. By the looks of the vehicles they were destined to be under original ownwership based on the expensive mods tossed in them. Something is changing their minds between 3000-8000 miles? Hope I am wrong. I really like my truck.
I don't think it has anything to do with problems that the owners were having with the truck or that they disliked the truck at all. People often see something totally redesigned and just have to be the first on their block with the cool new stuff. They either buy the bling$$ blinged$$ out from the dealer or dump loads of cash to do it while it still has dealer plates on it. Then they get their payment book, insurance bill, and worst of all get heat from the wife about all the money going out every month so he can be cool...while they barely have money to feed the kids or keep the power on. Next thing you know that person is having buyer’s remorse and looking to unload the truck before his next payment is due. As a dealership tech/writer/manager you could often tell the people whom could not afford their vehicles. They would seldom perform any maintenance per factory schedule, and then complain when something fails that could have been prevented by the maintenance. They were often also the ones crying lemon law before even giving us a chance to resolve the problem.<O</O
The other possibility is something else just caught their eye and they want to change already. In this price range, there are allot of good choices.<O</O
Women like to shop...but Men are the Kings of impulse buying. Men tend to do it on a grand scale. I speak from my own behavior observed. Am I wrong?<O</O
Or it could be these people are noticing more and more problems with the new ford and are tired of the dealer saying "normal operation" all the time, maybe?
I have 4400 miles on my 4x4 Lariat, screw with only minor problems that the dealer has fixed right away. My dealer gets me in the same day I call and the problem gets fixed. You won’t be seeing my truck on e-bay. I figure a new model year is going to have some problems and it would take a couple visits to the dealer to get everything right. I’m pretty happy with my truck. Although I do feel for all the guys that do have the shutters, nibbles and ect…
If you buy in a state that has good lemon laws you will alway be able to get your dough back if there is really a problem..If you don't have a lemon law go and buy it in a state that has one....To many people act like "chicken little"...If you look at any business none of them can please 100% of their clients and if most could get even as close as Ford gets they would be happy as heck...To many people buying f-150 have no experience with the huge difference that the way "truck" used to preform...They get better and better through the years and no auto manufacture pleases everyone is the way it is period.
I have had many trucks and have made some company's buy a couple back....I know my rights as a consumer and I alway feel that the buyer beware statement hold true to anything......If somebody feels they can walk all over you they will..... It up to the consumer to educated himself and stand up for himself. Ford or any other company is not going to be your guardian angel and do what is right for you...YOU have to!
I am sorry about the rant but some of the posters just whine and whine and whine and I am getting annoyed with it all....To a point where I feel I will take a break from this site for a bit.
I’m new to the site and I get annoyed by how many repeat threads there are of people asking about the same thing. Yes, it good to bring a subject back up but to ask questions about something that already had the exact thread started less than a day or two old is annoying. As I said I’m new to this site and new to forums and I do a search before I start a new thread. If I had problems and Ford was telling me that its normal operation, you bet your sweet a$$ that I would be voicing me opinion very strongly and checking in to my states lemon laws. Amen!!!, Hovy.
