wild animals
I'd have to say:
Sharks, particularly the Great White. Purpose-built, high-speed, low drag. Nature's PERFECT killing and eating machine...
I'm with you Mil1ion on the Tiger, definitely my choice for most beautiful animal, plus I absolutely love to watch a cat stalking. In it's own enviroment, no other animal has a chance against it. (all things considered).
For pure admiration, the Ant. Completely single-minded of purpose, can lift 600 times it's own body weight. No obstacle too tough, or too high, perfectly willing to self-sacrifice for the good of the colony (my wife can testify to that. She's allergic to the bite of our fire ant here in SC)and can re-build a devastated home in a matter of hours.I find them fascinating .
But for favorite animals, it'd have to be a dog I once had named "Rascal". He was a lab-chow mix. Even as a pup he had a lazy streak. Took up with me right away. He walked me to work, laid up in the office of our machine shop, and then would walk with me home.He was hit by a car and killed, and even at the age of 26 I cried like a baby. But I'm getting off topic aren't I? Some things you never stop missing.
