While driving the truck home from work the engine just quit running. We found the #19 power fuse blown. We replaced it and it immediately blew the new one. When you put the key in and turn it nothing works. The ignition system is completely dead. The truck only has 30,000 miles on it and we have not had any other problems with it other than putting a new battery in it this past December. Any ideas on what it could be?
The #19 fuse is a big one, controls the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) power diode, the Ignition, and the PATS. Sounds like you have a short somewhere in those circuits.
At 30K you should still be under warranty, so take it back to Ford.
