Talking Rancho 9000's installed !!!!!!!!

Got the 9000's installed on the Ex today and on the ride home was SO disappointed - rode like the proverbial brick !

Got home and in the misty rain HAD to lay out a throw rug so I could look at the install...

Everything looked fine... then started checking the settings on the 9 way adjustables...

Left front on 3 --- should have been little less than middle of the range....
right front and rears were all on NINE

So changed them all to one and went for a ride...
Now it seems SOFTER than stock :-)

Guess I'll have to find my happy medium....
what do any of you run the Ranchos on ???

and will definetly look into the dash adjustment kit !!!

3/5 not towing
5/7 towing.

5/7 is a little stiff.

Hmmmmmm, maybe 7/5??? More weight in the front.

No, still young enough that I can crawl under when I need to.

I have mine set to 5 all the way around. I may try to adjust them down some. Towed with the rig this weekend, a 5000lb trailer and it towed great at 5. I will adjust down to 3 while not towing and see if I like it better.

Crawling under is not the problem J...
it's that getting back up

and I've found the fronts can be reached over the tire now that I know where they are...

I LIKE 'EM

but can't understand why you would EVER run them on 9 ---
for SERIOUS TOWING !?!
it was amazing the difference in the "harshness" of the ride...
but neat with all that adjustability !

Did you mount one of the fronts with the little **** facing forward and one facing backwards? That way, if you turn the wheel, you can reach both ***** without crawing under.

Oops. Probably should have mentioned this little trick a few days ago.
