I would like to replace the factory rims on 2002 Excursion Limited with a polished aluminum or chrome wheel, but I am not finding many options out there that will fit the Excursion's (8) lug pattern. Does anyone have any recommendations (websites)?
As always I check the infamous #1 auction site for everything before I buy. I too was looking to step up the wheels on my 02 XLT and saw a few I liked for less than $500. Do a search on Excurion wheels. You should get at least 7 aftermarket choices.
You may want to look at Mickey Thompsons. They have a hole pattern similar to factory Fords. Also they are FORGED alum rims. This means that you can clear the front brake calipers with 16" rims. If you look at cast units you will most likely need to run 16.5's. I put a set on my 91 f-250 some years ago and love them! The offset on these is "0", so tire rubbing with 8" rims is non-existant. I am keeping them to put on an "X" soon.

O got a sweet deal on ebay on some American Eagle 589 16x8's for my superduty - paid 270 for wheels and shipping and they are in perfect condition!! I was able to get the BFG all terrains I wanted 'cause I didn't have to shell out the $500+ for the new wheels!!
My 2002 Excursion XLT came with the polished "holey" wheels , which i replaced with Mr.Rottendawgs stock limited 5spoke wheels. I am now in proccess of getting a set of the new Harley superduty 18'' wheels for the truck.
I found a set of new 16x8 Panther wheels on eBay last fall ... and just $75 each! Just received my Nitto 305-70R-16-E tires, too (ordered on a Monday, delivered on Wednesday). Will have Firestone mount/balance the new wheel/tire combination, and have them "hand" me the replacement BFG tires for my recalled Steeltex tires ... unmounted. I'll let them replace the spare tire. Will sell the 4 new tires locally, and probably offer the rims individually on eBay (some folks need only one or two ... maybe to replace that steel spare wheel).
I went with Panther Realm wheels from wheelsandspinners.com. I got 22s. The tire I used was a 305/45 r22. what a sweet combination. It changed the whole look of the X. The ride is so smooth compared to the 16s, but the handling improved drastically as well.
