I was wondering what other Diesel owners are running quarter-mile time wise down the ol 1/4 mile. My bone stock PSD Excursion ran a 18.0 with a full tank of Diesel on board. Also let me know your mods , I want to find out what works and what doesnt...

 

Hey Joe where do you go around IL to run a 1/4 mile. If its pretty close i might have to meet you up there one weekend with my buddies and run some 1/4 miles. :-)

I have only ran my truck once sience i boguht it , and that was at Byron Dragway , in Byron Illinois. I went their to race my nova , and then got the idea to race the truck to see what kinda times i could pull. I want to get my truck to atleast the low 16sec range eventually..

 

Im going to have to go up there because my truck should run maybe a 16.5-17 with all the stuff i have done. I have a 78HP chip and exhaust, banks transcommand and just put on a K & N Filtercharger system with the open air box thingie. Im looking to send my chip back for a 90HP or 110HP.

17.1 @ 79 mph. in 4hi, Sacranento Raceway.

That same day a buddy of mine ran 13.89 on a red light, and 13.91 on a good run. But he is Psycho!

What do you have done to your truck ???
I am trying to get an idea of what mods i should do
to mine to get it running alittle faster.

I think I left something out!

Now I remember. In tank mod with 3/8 line all the way to the fuel pump!

Mine went 16.53@83.55 here in colorado.. corrected elevation at Bandimere speedway was 8750ft.

Superchips 80 / 160 chip
K&n Filter

99 F350 4x4 PSD Crewcab Longbox automatic.. race weight of 7180lbs

now I have the 100/200 chip and the magnaflow 4"exhaust, no cat, no muffler... have not had it back to the track yet

So it looks like this is my plan of attack :

1. Superchips programmer
2. Hypermax 5'' exhaust
Allready have a AFE intake

Anything else , little small items i should pickup ???

nah my truck is slow...i wanna chip intake and exhaust it to outrun some of the f150s and civics

I'll find out this Thursday at Moroso. I haven't run it before, but I'm curious to see what it will run with the BB Turbo. I'll post results.

 

I got a 15.3 in my 2000 crewcab. I have a MAC intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, and the superchips 110hp programmer. I am going to change out my fluids for synthetic and see if that makes a difference in time.

 

You might want to add a set of guages if you dont already have em

 

I run a 14.1 @ 81 mph here in phx. 4 in exhaust turbo back, straight pipe, gauges, predator tuner, airaid intake with K&N and precleaner, wicked wheeel, big head wastegate.
