I picked up my truck today and it is realy quite. There is no whine and rides smooth.
as far as your truck i think your dealer is playing games with you,there is no tranny problems with this truck that will cause these issues at this time.They just do not want to admit they are wrong .They should just order you a new rear-end and replace it.
The paperwork indicates a Transmission Overhaul and the whiny noise is gone. They did order the rear-end for me just in case, but I do NOT have the whiny noise any more.
I glad your truck is fixed and i hope you will not have anymore issues with your truck.I will have to say the service i have recieved from my dealer is alot better than i recieved from chevolet on my 2003 Z-71.
