Throttle Body Spacer
I was lookin through a certain racing equipment catalog and came across a throttle body spacer for a Powerstroke or a Duramax made by Airaid, there was also one made by Motorvation. It says that it is supposed to (enhance your midrange power, torque, and fuel efficency.) Then it goes on to say that (it increases intake air velocity and adds spin to that intake charge, all of which helps with fuel atomization.)
Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

i don't know if the product has an effect on performance, but i think he means a spacer between the Y pipe and intake plenums. The Y pipe becomes the throttle body in this case as it is well known to produce more power on gasoline engines, ei spacers or high rise manifolds etc. Anyway who knows if it works, but hey how can I get that Synth Blinker Fluid:0

I'm pretty sure that I knew that Powerstroke didn't have a throttle body, That's why I was wondering if anyone ever heard of such a thing
. That's how it was listed in the catalog that I was lookin at.
I didn't see any of that synthetic blinker fluid in there though.

I tried one of these so called "throttle body spacers" on my '01 PSD. I gained very little in power or mileage, so I took it out. I am thinking of installing it again, since I now have gauges to see if there are any improvements in boost or reduction of exhaust temperature. The only mod I had done when I first tried it was the Superchips Microtuner. I will see if the "spacer" will enhance any of the other mods I have listed in my signature. Will post later if any improvements are noteworthy.
