i dont know what i did but i messed my carb up i un did all the emissions stuff and now the carb over flows its been upside down and i cant figure this thing out please help me it spills on the exaust manifold
As I read your post! You removed all the emissions eq. from the vehicle. You also turned the carb up side down while it was off the vehicle? Where is the fuel coming from on the carb?
If you turned it up side down, you may have dirt under the needle/seat. This will cause it to come out the bowl overflow at the top of the feed horn.
If the fuel is coming out a niple on the side of the bowl bowl vent tube. I could be the needle again or fuel shaking out the bowl vent tube.
You probably have some dirt or rust that is getting stuck in the needle seat, and keeping the float valve from totally closing. It might be a good idea to get a rebuild kit and change the needle and seat if it keeps doing it. Don't loose the little spring...The needle tip material, "vicon" or whatever they call it, can take a set or groove, and keep from sealing properly. But being it did this after you had it off, it's probably some dirt or rust specs. It's not the float level, it's the sealing of the needle and seat that is the problem. I'd set the float level to factory specs. MK
