I have pictures of overhead shelves, dash kit, console extension for subwoofer and Edge Attitude display in my galleries. I am getting the back section of an Excursion console to add cupholders for the rear seat because the factory ones in the center armrest are useless with 3 people in the back.
tagging along. I am also interested in internal mods. Especially overhead consoles and shelves.
SC Dave do you get a lot of vibrations in the DVD screen? I have notice this when placing our portable DVD player on the dash. Makes it hard to watch on bumpy roads.
Anyone have a way to mount a portable DVD player so it can be removed from the truck when not needed?
Most electronics stores sell the DVD in a bag that hangs on the back of the seat if you want portable. They just put a portable in a bag that straps it to the seat. Maybe you can do that with yours. Clarion makes a panel for the back of the floor console if you have one and want it permanent. Or you can velcro yours to the floor. Putting it on the dash makes it harder to "watch the bumpy road".
The dash kit and the shelves are both Pace-Edwards. The dash has one small spot that won't stay down. My freind has the Huskyliner dash and it won't stick in the same spot. Most people wouldn't notice it anyway. The Huskyliner matches the factory inserts better but does not cover as much. The shelves fit OK but they really are not designed for the sunroof option so I had to do a little trimming. They have an outlet in each one for radar detectors or cell phones which I use all of the time.
Badford nice truck. My friend has wood inserts on his dash, cntr console, upper computer, and 4 doors. Looks really nice and goes well with the stock wood. The person who I got my truck from has an In-dash DVD, and two 7" screens in the back of the front headrests in his crew cab, really nice.
