Ford has a diagnostic tool that they can plug into the system to do a "cylinder contribution test" to determine which cylinder is not making power. Injectors are not hard to replace but there are a few tricks you need to know so you don't bend a connecting rod.
There is a marine application injector available. I believe the prefix code is AC. I have no idea where you can buy them. Unless you remap the fuel delivery you won't get much of an increase in power from them (assuming your engine is running up to snuff now). I tried a set in an engine one time and, as I recall, got 10 or 15 HP increase -- not nearly as much as I expected (of course, I was using the same fuel mapping).
Joe -- International has a T444E High Output Injectors DT 540 HO (94-96 Navistar #1824456C96 Code: AC) that flow something like 240cc. Supposedly you can order them in single or split shot and the Ford PCM has no problem controlling them. I personally have not tried any and don't know much about them besides technical data and part numbers, but have read where a couple guys are running with them.
Have you heard any info or application suggestions for these? I don't know if they are the same as the "marine" injectors.
Yes, as far as I know those are the marine application injectors. There are some substantial gains to be had if you are willing and capable of remapping the ECM's fuel mapping. Those are indeed single shot injectors.
