Think I have a future delimna. My drivers side window clicks a few times once it goes all the way down. It sounds like the motor is still trying to go down once the window has bottomed out on the track. Anyone have any problems or quick fixes before it kills itself?
I recently took my 03 250 CC in to dealer for a rubbing noise that happened while lowering my driver side window. I remember over-hearing the service writter saying something about a service bulletin for that front driver side window. I might be wrong, but you might wanna call your local dealer and find out, they may fix it if still under warranty.
I think I have the same problem to, I have a 01 F250 XLT with 45k miles. Whenever I put my drivers side window down all the way, it almost sounds like it pops (though the noise is muffled and not to loud). I assumed it was just maybe some mud or dirt down there from my offroad adventures, but this just raised my eyebrow. I'll have to check it out.
I have a bear with my passenger side window, goes down 3/4 of the way great, then slows down like it is dragging on something the rest of the way down. Goes up great. I took the door panel off of mine, and I am still unable to see where it is catching. The motor was replaced by the original owner undre warranty thinking this would fix it. Anyone with ideas? I lubed up everything that had contact with the window also.
My driver side window sounds like it is going to kick the bucket when rolling it up. When it gets to the top it then makes and noise like it is going to jump through the door panel at me. Sounds generally loose but I don't want to take it in just for that so I have been waiting for somthing else to go wrong.
I tried to order my truck without power windows & mirrors. They said if you want chrome grill (XLT) then you'll get pw & pm. So now I just waiting for power windows to screw up!
