interpret front axle tag?

I put a complete 4.11 rear axle under my truck and now I need front axle to match. The front axle from the truck with the 4.11 was tagged as follows:

4.09 D8TA VE 610049-9

Could you tell me what this means so I can begin looking for one identical to it?

Thank you

I ran the number on Dana's website, but it couldnt find it. Not sure if that is a Dana axle or not. Check to make sure that is the correct number. What kind of truck was it? What year?

I double checked the tag number and it is corrrect: 4.09 D8TA VE 610049-9. The truck was a 1978 F-150, 351 cid, 4spd, manual lock hubs. Thanks for the help.

Well your truck should have a Dana 44 front axle, but I couldn't find that bill of materials number on Dana's website.
