I noticed that you said 73-86 right well i thought i would let you know that
73-79 would be the same ,and 80-86 would be the same 80-86 would have
the same holes punched in the sides for the boxey fiberglass rear fenders
Allthought they both have the (Flat top edge)

Stepside Bed Sides
I know this is an old topic but there never was a solution. From what I have found in my searching (almost 2 years), the bed sides are not made for 73-86 (73-79 and 80-86). The sides for 56(?)-72 are made however. The best solution you may find is to go to a local sheet metal shop and have them bent up for you. The top roll can be a piece of tubing welded on. I am currently in the process of drawing up a 3D AutoCAD 2004 drawing to have my sides made from. If anyone would like this drawing, send me a message and I will get it sent out as soon as possible.
