I was wondering if heads from a 302 would fit a 351W and the same for the intake? Thanks
Kyle

302 heads have smaller head bolt holes than the 351W, but a bolt kit is available to make the switch.

You can also have a machine (with the right tools this can be done at home) shop bore and tap the holes to the proper size, this will give you the strength of the larger bolts to. What year are the heads on the 302 and on the 351W?

Just curious as to why you would want to switch?

the reason I would want to make the switch is because I have an 87 f-250 with fuel injection and it has the 302, then I have an 84 f-150 with a carbaratured 351W and I like the 250 alot more, and I would like to switch motors. I heard that the heads will fit and at the same time will give you a better compresion ratio? Thats why I was thinking about the swap?

351 intake is wider than 302 due to differing deck height.
