Door Ajar?
I hate to tell you this but this is one of the most irritating and hard to pinpoint problems with the SD.
I had a 99 that was back to the dealer 4 times under warranty to fix the same problem.
The final fix was replacing some sort of sensor/processor under the dash that was sending out the erroneous info.
Do a search on this site or wait for more replies because I have read where some people have had success with lubing the latch posts and other fixes.

Door Ajar?
My 99' F-350 had the door ajar and dome light staying on problem, This great site and all the helpful member's, let me know the fix,,It's easy,,spray WD-40 into the door latches, up, down, and around,the light switch is in there and it sticks after awhile, I did this and within minutes my door ajar light no longer stays on !
