I've almost got it!
So finally over the weekend, after over a month and a half in the paper I sold the POS Sierra, it was a little sad, lots of good memories from college with that truck...Now I have 26.5 hours until I pickup my 04 F-150 XLT 133'' WB, 4x4, 5.4L Silver Scab. It has been a hard wait since the 12th when the dealership called to say its here. I almost went to look at it yesterday as I drove by but I figured that I wanted to see it for the first time tomorrow. I'll keep you guys updated and if I can snag a digital camera I'll try and get some pics up but I figure tomorrow will be mostly driving around enjoying it and showing off. At last its here, my precious...

OK so after all the waiting...It was awesome! I drove about 80 miles today just to enjoy the new truck! I had to fight the temptation to floor it out of the parking lot and on numerous occasions (I'm keeping it below 60 for ~300 miles and no full throttle in first gear for ~1000 miles) and the ride was great. I didn't feel anything vibrate, shake or shudder that I didn't expect from a pickup truck. The folks at Van Bortel Ford were really great, it was a very quick and painless process with no one trying to sell me warranties, undercoating, etc... just got the papers signed and gave me the keys. I got to meet Jeff briefly and my saleswoman, Alison, was very knowledgeable, thorough, freindly, and excellent to work with. So far, both the truck and the dealership get an A+ in my book. Thanks again everyone at Van Bortel Ford for making my first new truck buying experience a very pleasant one!
