torqeshift transmision

I see where the 2005 F250 may have the torqueshift transmission. What is it,what does it do and is it any good? Thanks

the 5 speed torqueshift has been mated with the 6.0 Liter engine since 2003 in the Superduties and Excursions...

FINE tranny and the tow/haul is an excellent feature...

Is it normal for the tranny to shift more smoothly and have better response with a load on the truck rather than empty?

Hard to tell what your conditions are...
Mine will shift firmly and quickly sometimes and slow and easy at others, depending on what I'm asking it to do...

really never pay attention to it too much... just let it do it's thing and sometimes use the tow/haul when coming to stop signs to slow down around town...
