brake squeak
My wife has an 01 Explorer Sport with about 45K miles on it. About a month ago, I changed the front brake pads. The rotors are not warped or grooved, so I did not have them turned. About a week later, the brakes started to squeal horribly. I also notice a tremendous amount of brake dust on the front wheels. These were a set of raybestos pads. I figured it was probably due to the quality of pad, so I bought a set of pads at the dealer. One week later, and I have the same issue. It seems like the pads are getting glazed.
Any suggestions?

Whenever you change the pads, always get the rotors turned. They will not only make sure that they are true, but that they meet the minimum thickness. Not only that, but the glaze that builds up on the rotors will cause the problems that you are experiencing.
