What parts are interchangable? Seems I have the last operating engine on the
planet. (Dumb ?),can anyone explain the difference between an E150 and an F
150? Just bought this van for $350.00,replacing all gaskets & seals, found no
signs of previous teardown other than valve covers.Excessive crud removed
as good as possible without compressed air, sort of worried by prehistoric method. Are any owners of currently running E150 cargo vans available for ad
vice or feedback?
F150 is truck, E150 is van... Van frames are nearly 4 inches wider than truck frames.
nearly all body parts are interchangeable for 75-91, there are some small changes.
Van engine is same as the truck engine. ALL 75-91 I-6 & V8 truck & van engines require 6 quarts of oil. (deeper oil pan than car).
There is some debate over how much oil they actually hold... My 92 with the 351WHD holds 7, so does my dad's 88 with a 302... What did the crud look like in the engine? I'm willing to bet that the previous owner ran Quaker State and thats parafin build up.
