just a question..does anyone has the problem with their check engine light..i had it scanned and say engine running too lean..
i did install cold air intake. after couple hundred miles the check engine light came on..
so i was wondering..if thats a bad maf ? iac ? i also did replaced the oxgen sensor in cat conv..
what should i do ..
let me know if anyone has the problem and got it fix..
i want the truck to be fix before i can tow my new camper..
What type of CAI did you install? Did you oil the filter yourself, and are you sure the filter wasn't over oiled? An over oiled filter can cause an MAF to do very weird things...

um my wife surpised me with the cold air intake i think she purchaed on ebay..
no brand just the complete set with 2 hose.. no maf..i use oringinal maf off old air filter..
blueexpend, what I'm saying is that if you over oiled your high flow cotton filter in your CAI, the extra oil can blow through the filter and contaminate your MAF wires. This will cause all kinds of havoc. There are ways to clean the MAF wires, it might be worth a try.

um.. no i didnt oil it.. it was already oil when i got it..
what kind of cleaner should i try.. think maybe it was the problem ??
I've never cleaned MAF wires / sensor before... Do a search and maybe someone has addressed this issue before. I know GM has started a policy to deny MAF related warranty issues on cars that have K&N filters due to the oil contamination problem. Some folks over oil their filters, and then contaminate their MAF as a result.
You might try checking your AF ratio on a dyno machine. Do you hear any knocking from the engine? If you are running lean, you will typically hear a knock, especially if you are using 87 octane fuel.
