FINALLY! Pics of my FX4 with 6' Pro Comp.

Check out my truck I've had the lift for about 2 weeks now. I'll try to post better pics later on.

did you make the sub box yourself or did you buy it? if you bought it, where?

great looking truck by the way. i'm looking to do the exact same thing to mine, but my bank account needs to recover first.

The sub box was actually custom made by the guys at Tweeter. Not sure if you have a Tweeter in your area, but I highly recommend them. They are a bit pricy, but they do a clean and professional job.

yep, I'm from san diego too. you're right they are pricey. in my expedition i made my own to custom fit behind the 3rd row, i may have to do it again. if you get a chance could you post some dimensions and even some more pics of it? i would really appreciate it. thanks.

Nice audio equipment. I see you spared no expense going with MB Quart and JL equipment. They've been the best in the business for years.

Nice ride too, although I'm not too sure about the old school wheels on an 04 F150.

Nice - I like the lift. How does the truck ride and handle? I have a 4x4 Lariat which rides pretty smooth compared to a stock FX4 but I know I'm going to lose that once I lift the truck. But I don't want extreme harshness and I'd like to keep the steering geometry the same. The stock height of the 4x4's is already pretty high - did the lift kit add a full 6" to your original height or did it add it to what the height of a non-4x4 height would be? I think the stock 4x4 height is already 2" or so higher than a non-4x4, meaning that your effective increase would be 4". If I added 6" to what I already have, I won't be able to fit under the carport at my office so I'm looking to add 4" to what I now have so I'm really curious about it. Looks great though. I'm looking around for lift kits - How much was the lift project? (minus the wheels and tires)

FadeToBlack,
truck handles exactly the same as it before it had the lift. The good thing about the Pro Comp lift is that it keeps the stock ride and steering geometry. I believe the 6" lift was added to the height of a non 4X4 because it doesn't feel like it's 8". I definatley cannot fit in any carports though.I believe there arent any 4" lifts out for the 2004 F`50, but I know Rancho will have on out sometime this year. My lift out the door came out to $1800.00.

$1800 installed?!? Wow. I was thinking I'd be more into like $4000 after install and new tires.

Sweet truck, BTW.

Thanks for the info Weapon, and you're right, I did ask for price of the lift only. Wheel and tire costs can vary a whole lot depending on personal tastes. And that is a pretty good price - I was also thinking that it might be more. I would love to lift my truck sky-high but it's just not practical. I can barely fit into parking garages as it is and it's stock height still. But another 4" will be worth any extra hassle in my mind.
