Just purchased a 96 F250 PSD and I took her out coon huntin' last night for the first time. When I got to church this morning I was walking around the truck and realized that the front driver side center cap was missing. I retraced my steps hoping I would find it but didn't. Should I spend the money to get another or should I just take all four off and run it like that....it really doesn't look too bad that way. Don't wanna spend the money if they are going to become highway frisbies. I wish I knew a way to secure them to the wheel w/o saftey wiring it to one of the bullet holes in the wheel...
The front hubs are smooth and don't look bad without caps, the rear on the other hand, they are a little rough around the edges, painted black they might look ok. I would try to find a new cap at a swap meet or on e-bay, another option is to remove the other front and leave the rears.
