Question Are these the same part ?

Reading these posts and talking to my favorite ASE tech.
I have DTC 0401 come up and the service engine light stays on.
At his suggestion I ordered a new EGR Control Valve. Which is the solenoid on the green vacuum line. Is this the same thing folks are calling DPFEGR sensor ?.It was described as being in the same place.

Hey ckutter welcome, they are completely separate parts. The solenoid is round and the dpfe sensor is rectangular.

It is in the same vicinity as the EGR. It'll have a wiring harness attached.

Rectangular with wiring attached (as buzzard said) with two black hoses going to it from the exhaust. You did'nt say what type of engine you have, or year model, but if it is a 4.2 the egr tubes can stop up, a 4.6 has passages that can clog, right behind the throttle plate, and Ford extended the mileage for warranty on the tube mounted DPFE sensor on some vehicles.

Sorry, left a couple things out ................LOL. 99 5.4. That might help.
I was told to look for a little metal box. 2 hoses and a connector.

You got it, may be obscured by the black plastic 5.4L trim plate.

Got it ..............I'm a little slow. It almost bit me.
On my control valve. It must have a superceded part.
I took out F57E-9J459-CA ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I put in F63Z-9J459-AA.
Where would one find out if I got the right one ?
