I've never seen so many "cop" haters. How come the people that are so quick to judge the cops are often the ones screaming the loudest when they need one. Unless you are a police officer or actually know one, you can't understand what situations these men and women are exposed to during their shift. There is an old saying "let he who has not sinned cast the first stone" or maybe "people who live in glass houses should not through rocks". The next time you people who are so critical of the police find yourself in need of their help, let's hope the police officer responding takes his time getting to you......

Thank you, however, let's keep the tone of this thread down (dont get too worked up) or it will be closed down, like OTL.
Paul... I am sorry that you had this experience with this Cop, I can only hope that there was an intelligent reason for this action. Not at all that I am trying to make an attempt to justify this behavior. Trust me (I'm sure you guy's know), you've got your bad apples in all occupations.
Ref cops speeding: often the cop is doing the speed limit and everyone else is feeling guilty.
Ref motorcycle cop: Could have been responding to a violent crime in progress and did not want the siren or flashing lights alerting the perpetrator.
Ref the turn around: It is much faster and shorter to turn around by backing up. If you back into a driveway or something you don't have to keep backing up and pulling forward. Try turning around sometime by driving forward and turning the wheel to turn around, see how large the turn is and how many times you have to manuver back and forth. Then try putting it into reverse and turning the wheels to turn and see how much quicker you can do the turn. This is one of the reasons forklifts have the steering wheels in the rear, it provides much faster response to steering manuvers.
Just figured before anyone starts condemning cops for the way they drive, perhaps take a look at this.. Local officer that lost his life just this week in the line of duty, responding to a severe MVA, trying to save someone else's life.
