Since my accident, my parents got a rental truck to drive. My parents got it becuase i am not the owner of my truck, my parents put me as a frequent driver. Anyway, they gave us a 2002 Dodge Dakota. I think it has a 4.7 liter V-8, auto, and 4x4. It is a 4 door crew cab. Very nice truck, my mom really likes it. My old truck drove like crap, when you took corners it wanted to throw you out of the truck but i still liked it. When u get in this truck, its very quiet and rides very nicely. I'm sure a new ford does too though. Just curious, chevy is our enemy but what about Dodge? Not to many bashings of Dodge on here like there are against chevy. I haven't been that great of a fan because i've heard stories of other people dropping trannys or other stuff. That Dodge's just look nice and run nicely but break all the time. Anyone else think Dodge is horrible?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-May-02 AT 04:33 PM (EST)]I did all of my drivers training on my dads 2000 Dakota Quad cab 4x4. (Didnt really want to parlell (sp?) park my truck. It drives real good. I didnt like how touchy the steering is. It has the 4.7 and pulls our 20ft Bayliner real good too.
I would rather push a Ford truck then drive a Dodge truck. If we were talking about muscle cars from the 60's and early 70's, that might be a different story. I loved my 67 Mustang Fastback, but my 69 Charger R/T was a beast.
I have to agree with Million, My dad has two dodge trucks one 3/4 and on drw one ton both have the Cummins one auto 4x4 and one five speed 2x4. They would be a thought if Ford did something stupid.
My buddy has a 41'Dodge army truck with this huge four cylinder in it. Well he took it to the local fair to enter it in the truck pulls. It's listed as a 1/2 ton truck, but the officials looked at the gross weight of the truck, which still had all of it's armor plate on yet and it was around 5,500 pounds. Well they made him run with the 1 ton trucks in the contest, and gues what, he came in second place!!
