Window Tint Bubbles
Hey, maybe you folks can give me some advice before I try something stupid or expensive (well, concerning this)...
I've got the windows tinted in my car, professionally done with the film stuff. They were tinted a little over 5 years ago, and have developed some bubbles along the sides. What is the best way to remove these? Can a wet cloth and a little elbow grease do the job or is something more needed? Thanks...

Where the bubbles always there or did they show up recently? If they just started to show up, your tint is probably starting to become unglued. There is not much you can do, maybe poke the center of the bubble with a pin and try to press it down but the glue may not hold it down. If it was professionally done, you should have some kind of warranty? I had a shop give me a lifetime warranty on their tint against fading and bubbles.

I agree with Triton, if they were professionally done, I know I have always had a lifetime warranty....you should check and see
Sometimes you can ***** the hole with a pin as suggested, then use a heat gun ( use carefully as not to burn the tint, just apply a little heat and see if it is helping ) to help it adhere.....

When I first read this thread I thought that the tint was bad & needed to be replaced.
I didn't reply with that comment because I didn't know for sure, but now I do. You learn sonething new every day.

Yep, professionally done about 5.5 years ago. They appeared within the last year.
Hmm, I guess I'll have to do some calling then. I had it done at the dealership but they contracted it out to someone. Thanks for the advice, guys.
