Angry Please help

I did the 5.6k resistor mod on my 96 F250 with the 5speed. I really noticed a big difference on the bottom end, but when I get to third gear it does something funny to the turbo. The turbo will stop building psi around 14lbs maintain that reading drop a little and then go on and do it again a few seconds later. I have it on a switch so when it does it I flip the switch and it runs just like normal. I have the SCMT on the highest level, but have taken it off only to get the same results. I have tried to get help with this before but nobody answered, please just give me any ideas that you have on how to fix it. thanks in advance.

Pull the resistor. With the SCMT the mod won't give you much of an improvement anyway. Doesn't the SCMT raise the ICP anyway?

I like the added smoke. The resistor should work when I take off the tuner though so is there any chance the resistor is bad or wires are wrong.
