White Line Fever is a movie starring Jan Michael Vincent when his carrer was still on the up swing in the 70s. The Blue Mule is the Ford semi-truck he bought to become an independent trucker. He runs up against established company truckers/ dispachers that are trying to run him out of business. Things get ugly and there's a GREAT ending.
The movie is "White Line Fever" starring Jan-Michael Vincent. His character named his truck "Blue Mule." I thought it was a cool movie when I saw it . . . when I was 12.
I also saw it as a kid in the 70's and liked it. Then again, I liked aything where semi's, firetrucks or trains played a major role! Kay Lenz plays his new wife. The truck is a Ford cab-over and there is some pretty good stunts in the movie.
Oh ya. I got the VHS version. Saw it at the DRIVE-IN back in the seventies when it came out. Always liked it, so I found it on tape.
Pretty cool movie. Slim Pickens, Kay Lenz, Jan Micheal.
Should we tell him what happens to the truck?? Oh man...what a terrible thing to do to an old truck...course it was NEW back then...
I've been building my movie collection for some time now. Mostly hot rod and truck movies. Anything with a chase scene, car wrecks, or trucks I've got DUEL, HOT ROD, TWO LANE BLACKTOP, SMOKEY/BANDIT, WHITE LINE FEVER, CONVOY, AM. GRAFITTI I&II, DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY, THUNDER ROAD, HIGH BALLIN'..........and some others.....
I just picked up a couple Movin' On VHS tapes from the seventies. Have not seen that show in 30 yrs....Kinda like a step back in time.
