I have a 88 bronco which I always thought the horn didn't work. Just recently I realized that it only works when the ignition is OFF. That's right only when it's off! Anybody ever had a problem like this? I never use the cruise, so I was considering just rewiring, but when I have to honk, my first reaction is to go to the steering wheel, and another switch would throw me off.
Do it trucker style and have a string above your head, and put a crazy sound on it as well. I looked at a 94 Bronco that had the horn wired up to a button on the dash (to the left of the rear window switch), owner said the wiring was all crazy. So faulty horns is not unheard of. I'd do something though, gotta reply to dumb drivers somehow. -BBB
i think hella makes a kit so it should be pretty easy. im waiting to install my on board air and then am gonna find some big air horns that are trucker loud and hook those bad boys up. i will have a air tank so it will have plenty of air.
How hard would it be to hook up a small air compressor for air horns?
They aren't too hard to hook up. I just bought one for my 90 Bronco and it sounds great. I love it. I took a horn button switch from wally world and put it in the steering wheel(just barely fit) so it was right where it needed to be. No looking for the switch when I need to blow the horn, and it is super loud. The beast never sounded better.
