I have taken off many drums but not this one. Full floating rear end so the drum should just slide off. No..Ha.. the emergency brake is not on and the brakes are not sticking. The other side came right off. I have tried all my old tricks like a 2x4 on the edge from behind pounding them into kindling. I got out the air hammer and it still won't come off. Then got stupid and used the hammer direct on the edge and chipped a piece off so I went and got another drum. I am now thinking about beating this stubbon thing into a 3-D puzzle. It's just cast. There is no sign of movement at all. Any tricks up your sleeves out there. I really don't want to use a torch.
I have done a couple that were like that, have you tried, jacking it up,remove rear wheels, reinsall lug nuts, get in make sure its in 2wd and start it up,put it in gear let it get spinning and then slam on the brakes.you might have to do it a couple of times, although it doesn`t always work,it has for me many times.
also dont tighten the lugs all the way, just put them on far enough to keep the drum from flying off.
Triton, good idea. That will give it some vibration and heat. I thought about the slide hammer but couldn't come up with a quick way to hook it up. I would have to make some kind of steel hook.

I know the E Brake isn't on, but you might try turning the little star wheel to adjust the shoes back inward. The drum may have a ridge worn into it, and the shoes may be adjusted out just enough to snag it. Seen this one a couple of times, and was able to back the shoes off enough to get it off.
