x psd mileage
I have a 2002 excursion psd 4x4 I get about 15 mpg in town and 7 mpg pulling my toybox 25ft around 10000 lbs. It will run 70 mpg but struggles and cannot maintain 75 mph on flat hwy. dealer has checked it out and says everything is fine. when i bought it the dealer said that it would pull anything on the road. today they changed the story and said that a 25 ft toybox at 10000 lbs was too big for the excursion psd. I think the mileage sucks and top end power is even worse. I had an excursion gas 5.4 and I think that the gas could keep up with the Psd. I need some comments and some mileage comparisons for similar rigs can anyone help ?

I have a 2002 Excursion PSD, Auto, 4X4, with a AFE air filter and aftermarket muffler , and the BEST i have seen around town is around 16-15.5 , on the tollway without a trailer i have seen a best of 17.5-18, and with a trailer weighin about 6K , i see around 13ish..I will say that the change over from summer diesel to winter diesel kills the MPG of the truck..the best i have seen in the past two weeks has been in the middle to upper 12's .

Well, according to my overhead "data center
" I am getting 16.3 combined empty. Have not really stretched it out to see highway mpg, and have not yet checked it on paper. But I assume the mileage is close anyway.
