Injectors
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Nov-02 AT 06:28 PM (EST)]I noticed that a couple of the injectors on my '86 F350 6.9 were leaking. I'm the second owner and have put 50K miles since buying the truck which had about 200K when I bought it. I don't know if anything has ever been done to the injectors but at a minimum, I guess I'll repair the leaks. What else should be done to the injectors??
Update: I changed the 2 O-rings on each injectors which stopped the leaks. Should I do anything else?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Nov-02 AT 03:13 PM (EST)]Not much else to perfom on them. You can take them in to have them "Pop Tested" and also have the spray pattern looked at. This will ensure that you have good injectors. But other than that there isn't much to them. They just hold the fuel back until a preset pressure, and then lets it spray out. If it open early it will cause performance problems. If it dribbles the fuel out instead of give a good spray pattern, it will effect performance. Also it should be tested for leak down, this way you can see if it holds the pressure, as this will cause cyl to become washed down with fuel.
