I have a 95 F-350 with a stock steering wheel. The truck has cruise control so the electronic buttons are on it and it has no airbag. The leather wrapping has become worn out and torn. So I would like to replace it with a Grant steering wheel, but would it work? Does Grant make an adapter to fit this year Ford? I notice that they sell a button package to run electronic stuff but would it work for the cruise control? Has anyone replaced a stock steering wheel for a Grant in this year truck?
Unless Grant has come up with something in the last couple of years since I've looked, I believe you're out of luck.
Stop by a parts place that carries Grant or go to their web site to be certain.
The only problem I have is that the factory steering coloum has a huge plastic shroud around it to tie it in with the look of the factory steering wheel. I think the Grant will look funny without modifying the steering coloum. I'm just gonna buy a replacement factory steering wheel. Thanks guys!
No I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have an air bag. Thats weird now you have me wondering if mine does. I saw a replacement factory steering wheel on Ebay though I can't find them anywhere else. Does anyone know where to find one and what would be a good price for one?
Hey 95-F-350-4x4, I looked up steering wheels in my 94 Ford Factory Service Manual and they listed F150, 250, 350, Bronco and Econoline Vans as all having the steering wheels with the air bag installed. The only exception listed is the F Super Duty Commercial Applications. You wont be able to install any aftermarket wheel if this is the case, so be sure before you buy a new wheel.
