ok again i was at cophers today and i saw a aerostar with a 5sped tranny and the casing looked liked my mazda tranny.does anybody know if its the same tranny? the aerostar was a 1988 with a v-6..mine is a 1991 with the 4.9..its one of the first trannys i saw in yards the were hydraulic vs. mechanical..any help??????

 

try the Aerostar Forum and see if those folks know.

Nope.
It'll be the M5ODR1.
You need the M5ODR2.
If you want to try to rebuild your's yourself, I've got a factory manual that I'd be glad to copy for you.
When I rebuilt my transfer case, I ordered my parts from the following place.

what tranny is in the 87 ford f-150??? it has the mechanical clutch and i saw a few of those???anybody know??

 

well still no luck finding a cheap tranny but ive been going to junk yards everyday so if anybody has special needs for anything let me know and ill let you knwo if i have seen it and where

 

what motor?
what's the housing made out of?
Eighter the NP435 or T18 or Tremec RTS with overdrive.
got any case numbers?

so will that tranny swap for the mazda and how much work to change the clutch? any idea?

 

well guys i guess ill spend the weekend looking in yards for the mazda tranny...does anybody know of any yards that may have a 88-95 f-150 or even a r-150 van in it with the 5 spd....i cant afford alot being on disability but i need my truck or even a cheap cheap running car....thanx for the help

 

has anybody been to a junkyard recently and seen a mazda type 5speed in a 1988-1996 truck? I still need one and hate seing my truck sitting...let me know if you have seen any and at what yards...thanx
