Reviving an old van

I am finally getting close to putting a new engine in my 1987 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER. It has been sitting for almost three years now and I have finally gotten around to really working on it. The new engine will be in soon. However, the gas tank is still 1/4 full. Is there a simple way to drain it? I reall haven't had a chance to look at it since it is in my cramped garage. What should I do about the gas? Also, the "new engine" which actually has 50,000 miles on it after a rebuild runs rough at idle. I am going to replace the spark plugs and stuff but should I also replace the injectors? (why can't I find them on the Napa or AutoZone websites BTW?) Also, when I step on the gas when it is cold it almost dies. Should I use the throttle body from my old engine? I am paranoid about water leakage since that is what killed my other engine. I will replace all the tubes but should I also replace the water pump while it's out of the van? Any suggestions will be helpful.

If the gas has been in the tank so long, it is going stale. I think there is some gas stabilizer you can grab from a parts store to help that out if you don't care to drain the tank.

Carpoint lists the 2.5L as TB(F)I, so I suppose any TBI injectors from a close-year 2.5L would work for you. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...c=vip#eng_tran

TBI will run rough if left sitting for a long while. The gas doesn't help, either.

To answer most of the rest, I would replace whatever the bisget allows for in this case. Good luck.
