You guys think I'd be able to find a good fuel injector at a salvage yard? I need one for an 87 gmc s-15, and new ones are not cheap. Sorry, I wasn't sure where to ask, hopefully this is in the right spot. Thanks
I've ran a bottle of injector cleaner through, and I used a bottle of Seafoam. It seemed to help a little, but it still doesnt spray like it should. I'll look into that lucas treatment, thanks.
There are some companies around who "rebuild" Injectors. You might ask around. Saw an article in Hot Rod mag a few months back going thru the process.
Essentially they test the coil then run the injectors thru a kind of ultrasound cleaner and then a spray cleaner and test in s spray chamber to check the pattern. Supposedly a set of V8 injectors was something like about $200. I would guess a single injector might be relatively inexpensive.
The parts stores I checked want about $80-90 for one. A little more than I'd like to spend, but it would be nice to get it finally taken care of. I'll check into getting this one "rebuilt", that might be worth it because it's not really all that bad. Thanks
