Boost issues....

I recently bought a 2001 Lightning that, as far as I can tell, has no mods yet (original pulleys, no boost bypass, no intake, and no chip on the computer). When I'm accelerating at approximately 4500-5000 rpm my boost gauge jumps to well above 10# on the stock gauge. Is this normal?

Measure the lower and upper boost pulleys and post the sizes here. I'll let you know if they are stock.

My stock truck can just get to the 8lbs mark at full throttle. If you are getting 10, you must have mods.

Bottom is just under 8" (7.9") an the top is 3.25". Also, how can you tell if the "factory seal" has been broken on the computer. I looked at it, and it doesn't look like it has ever been messed with, but then again I don't know really what to look for.
