im a new user on this site and it looks pretty good . does any body have any ideas on how to make a set of 1991 honda civic seats fit in a 1988 ranger 4x4 i have recently put them in and my head is on the roof. i would like to now if there are any after market mounts to make my job easier. one more ? does any body no of a good place to buy ford ranger parts and acc.
I don't know the best place to buy ranger parts, but, as far as the seats go, I have installed seats from Thunderbirds to Caddy's into Ford trucks over the years. The best way I have found is take the measurements from the seat you remove and apply them to the ones you install. Any difference can be made up from thinwall square tube or 1/8" think angle iron. The tubing will require mounting tabs, but the flanges can be used to bolt through on the angle. Once you get them setup, you can mark and weld them to your seat.
thanks you told me what i was thinking. square tubeing should work great and a few new bolts and a sharp drill bit .now if i could find someone that has some window seals and a couple of arm rest and a pair of swing lock ford mirrors she would be all set ive really been workin on this thing ive put a few up grades on it to list a few....flowmaster exhaust/k&n air filter/ msd tfi coil/2inc body lift/yokohama geolander AT 30x9.50x15/ black tinted windows/this week end its getting a H4 /headlight conversion any suggestions on that..thanks again
