Destroyed NP203 Transfer Case
Hello Everyone,
Got a few questions here. I was pulling out by friends Chevs the other day in the mud with my 76 Highboy and all of a sudden I heard a very loud bang, I got out and looked and staring at me was a hole in the side of the transfer case that you could fit a baseball inside of. Now someone correct me if I am wrong but the 203, 205, and NP 208 model transfer cases are generally bulletproof right? Why might this have happened, also I think I have another one lined up so what would be a fair price to pay for a used one and what type of oil will need to go in it when I swap them out?
