Problems to look for?
Im thinking about buying another explorer. I would like to get a V8 one but i would like to know what look for such as trouble spots and what not. And another thing can i have a link or post that shows the axle codes and rear gear codes cause i want to find one with a higher gear. round 4.10

The 5.0 seems to be a solid, reliable engine. The auto transmission (4R70W. Manual transmission not available on 5.0 L Explorers, not sure if this is true with the 03-04 Explorers) also has a good reputation for reliability. The only thing I'm not too keen on with the 5.0 Explorer is that they only came with an AWD transfer case, and I prefer a true 4WD transfer case.
