Knock Knock..No one's there
Ok after adding the Lucas Oil Stablizer the knocking/ticking went away after driving for a min. Now when i first start out the sound is back slightly but goes away within a min after regular driving. Whats happening? Is it poor Oil Pressure then with the Stablizer it builds??? I would appreciate anyones opinions on this. I have heard the good and the bad about Lucas but it seems to be working great. Should i just keep on using it just use a full quart not 1/2 quart?

I really wish i could help.... just a true housewife and i only know what i pick up from problems that my 97 explorer xlt and the others i own.. my husband is the expert. I would look up lucas oil and read up on it before continuing it..i hate for you to mess things up without knowing it;;; sorry i couldn't be more help...

That sounds like an inferior oil filter to me. I had the same problem with my OHV V6 a few years ago. I had a Fram filter on and I could hear knocking every morning when I start the engine. Try chaning it to a Motorcraft filter or a Purolator filter. I did that when I changed the oil and the ticking/knocking hasn't happened since.
