Hard standard shifting
I live on Baffin Island in Canada's north. I run a 1999 4.2L F150 standard with 50,000 K's. Temperatures during Dec to April range from -15C to -40...plus windchill. My problem is that when I run the engine cold after a 15 minute warm up...it works great. However if I run the truck for over a couple of hours, it of course warms up, but the shifting becomes awfully difficult. It is all I can do to downshift...and shifting to Reverse can be very hard. I worry that I may have to back out, and cannot. I have taken it to the garage, they have checked and replaced my transmission oil, and it is fine. However the problem is still there. Any solutions.

warrenty - how does it work for a 99 F150 model
Any idea on how I can find out if I have any warranty let on my 1999 F150. I purchased it from the orignal owner, however he could not find any papers. It only has 50,000 k on it for milage.

You would have to contact a dealer and have them run your VIN to see if there is any extended warranty. I was going to say to check at your local dealer but I'm guessing there isnt one anywhere close
